Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy are each proven
effective psychological approaches in their own right, put them together
and they have been shown to have a more effective and long lasting
approach than either individual method.


The methods used are evidence based and their positive effects are
concluded by amongst others, the British Medical Association, The
British Psychological Society and the American Medical Association.
Hypnotherapy is also a psychological intervention approved by NICE for
treatment of IBS.


More than just relaxation, hypnosis gives us access to ‘mind-body links’
often using imagery and metaphor. Using CBT we can find effective
strategies to work to your goals and alleviate troubling symptoms.
Sessions are 50mins and are usually a pleasant experience for the client,
with clients often looking forward to their therapy!


It is collaborative work and there will be a little homework/practising
between sessions. Putting clients at ease and helping them to feel safe and secure within the environment is my aim to help nurture a good therapeutic
relationship, which is the foundation of good and effective therapy.


Clients on average require 3-6 sessions but it can be longer, effective
change can sometimes happen after just one session. It is a privilege to
witness the incredible change in people as they grow and develop.
